For the cheap shit, I buy Famous Grouse - but I'm very flexible on that - if it ain't on offer and others are (like supermarket own label single malts) - then sometimes it don't make sense to buy the Grouse. Wouldn't buy Bells though ;)

Interesting - but I'm more of a Speyside drinker. To me, Islay/Skye whiskies are a bit of a novelty/curiosity drink. I was once given a bottle of Talisker by a friend who visited the distillery - nice but definitely not a 'session' whisky!
