Re: Maybe Obama should sit down with the Swiss.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/10/republicans-obama-heres-health-plans/ priceless. Another right-wingnut claims that I'm a sheep and then trots out Faux News to support his claim. If you think any of those proposals, outside of a comprehensive plan, would do anything except enrich a few pe...

Re: Maybe Obama should sit down with the Swiss.

What ultimately cracks me up is that you two don't get that when our economy was strong was because small businesses were the reason. nonsense. Our economy was at it's best when we had much more stringent governmental oversight, and a society that frowned on greed. Neither one of you are business o...

Re: Reagan/Bush/Obama

two posers(one, a professional poser) and a real guy, doing real things. Yup, it says a lot. Check out how fast Bush got away from his 'ranch' and into a surburban house with staff, once he didn't have to run for office anymore. Obama looks like the one guy who really doesn't give a shit about what ...

Re: Maybe Obama should sit down with the Swiss.

thanks, Cuda, for demonstrating Jumo's point. FWIW, I actually criticize my leadership(wrote just two weeks back to opine that the speech should have been given 3 months back). I'm not going to try to enlighten you as to why we had to spend nearly a trillion bucks to save the economy, or why that ma...

Re: Maybe Obama should sit down with the Swiss.

so, Cuda.....list the contributions to this process by the GOP. I'm all ears.
And, Rugg: I ask again, what "list"?? Prove it.

Re: Maybe Obama should sit down with the Swiss.

We don't view the hole he's put this country in as a joke. The debt Bush created is a drop in the bucket in comparison. And the fact that I publicly disagree with Obama gets me put on a "watch this guy" list. How (un)American. what list?? More paranoid lunacy, Rugg? As for the debt, yes, ...

Re: Maybe Obama should sit down with the Swiss.

Even the president gets heckled. a fact that every American should find disgusting. Most do. Those that don't get it, will, I suspect, find out over the next several election cycles. Obama is going to be nearly a sure-fire second term President simply because his opposition is coming across as a bu...

Re: Maybe Obama should sit down with the Swiss.

Why don't you ask the swiss what their income is taxed at? completely irrelevant. The point is that what the Swiss pay, per capita, for healthcare(taxes included) is about 2/3 of what we pay. And, while I don't have the numbers in front of me, I suspect they rank higher than 32nd, worldwide, in ove...
