My favorite firearm that I own so far

Post by Klaws »

So, I have been spending most of my time since I left this place in various gun forums.

I own quite a few of them now, but I think my fave is the one I have spent the most money on by far.

This little beauty here is my pride and joy -

Awesome... I shot an old full-size Springfield M1A many years ago and just loved it... I can't read the receiver - who makes it and does it have original GI parts / forged receiver?

Springfield Armory all the way, and I am not sure as far as GI when it comes to the SOCOM II. It was a newer design. if I ever get another I will get a national match grade from Springfield.

I can say that it is accurate and powerful.

That's a sweet hunk-o-machined metal. Apparently AR15 derivatives are inherently more accurate, and cheaper - but I just like the old school craftsmanship and machine work that goes into an M14 style rifle. I'm considering having one built by either:

I bet that sumbitch lights up the night!

I think I'll stay with a longer barrel for that load.

I'm pretty partial to me ol M-1 Garand.
