Zimmerman trial

Post by HappyHappy »

Hot button subject, but lets not get political.
Me thinks the best the prosecutors (and NBC)
can hope for is a hung jury or mistrial.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

Let's hear it.

Charging him with second degree murder was a massive mistake by the prosecution.
They should have charged him with voluntary manslaughter.
Much like O.J., this murderer will also go free.

It's old news and it was political in the sense that it was used to obscure other news.
In short, it was a smoke screen that served it's purpose then. To resurrect it now?
Would be to renew it's original purpose. My opinion.

RD has it right, 2nd degree murder is over the top. Given the liberal precedent for self-defense under Florida law, I don't see it likely that Zimmerman gets convicted. He will have to dance, however, around using racial profiling as a justification, or he could face a Federal prosecution under the Hate Crimes Statutes. This will be interesting.

.....oh, and yes, Pud, that was a classic.
