Why the heck has no one made a movie about old 666?

Easily the most incredible mission of WWII of any combatant.
Stranger than fiction, two medals of honor and the most decorated
air crew in history. Even Martin Caidin could not exaggerate this mission.

Where truth is far stranger than fiction.

"This is an amazing story that resulted in not one but two Medal of Honor awards as well as seven Distinguished Service Cross and six Purple Heart awards in the most decorated aircrew mission of WWII. "

Reports and stories seem to vary little. This one was to amazing to embellish.

Seems when you take a dozen screw ups, fuck offs and renegades and give em a mission
the results can be amazing!

Meant to post here earlier....

With the advent of "computer graphics" in Hollywood?
Seems many projects...that were, back in the day....not affordable or technically not doable, are now.
I'd love to see "Red Storm Rising".

I would love to see Parl Harbor from the Japanese point of view.

As to "Old666" I would like to see a split script of real Japanese attitudes
and emotions alternating with the US aircrew's point of view.
Not the usual white wash we are all used to.

I have read a few short stories from the surviving Japanese pilots.
They were VERY frustrated and equally dedicated to destroy that
bomber and crew as Old666's crew was to surviving the mission.
