A group of guys at work this morning (including myself) got into a heated debate over Philly cheesesteak sandwiches!

How it is made(correctly): chop a bunch of ribeye to slivers, saute on flat grill, with onions or mushrooms if desired.
Melt American cheese or Cheddar over it, slap into GOOD Italian roll. The tourist joints use Cheez-Wiz or some such, sometimes
Velveeta. They suck. They also use cheap ass beef, which also sucks.

very mild, not some sharp shit. Generally, American. The only function of the cheese is to hold all the meat together, frankly.

Mrs Slick would slap you where it hurts. We lived, for about 3 years, two blocks from the legendary Chubby's Cheese Steaks, in the Roxborough neighborhood. THE BEST STEAKS in Philly, although Dalassandro's(across the street), Tony Lukes(Northeast) are damn fine, too. The South Philly places are tourist traps and truly suck. Greasy meat, cheez wiz, etc. We KNOW cheesesteaks in this household. Now, we go to a place called Casapulla's, probably the best Delaware has to offer.
