A new study has concluded that ideology is not just a social thing; it's built into the DNA, borne along by a gene called DRD4. Tagged "the liberal gene," DRD4 is the first specific bit of human DNA that predisposes people to certain political views, the study's authors claim.
just got done reading that article before stopping into this zoo. I dunno, I think some folks get a bit too carried away with the role of genetics, and hell, I'm pretty confident that genetics accounts for a great deal, but ventures into more complex thought processes.
....still waiting for news of the conservative, libertarian, or anarchist genes.
