What a joke to call defense cuts 'Obama's". Congress passed a law that mandated Defense(and other) cuts if the supercomittee failed to find compormise deficit reduction. That idea wasn't Obama's. The failure to reach a deal because one side refused to consider revenue increases wasn't Obama's fault. The whole blame game toward the President is a lie, nothing less.

In France some organisation decided to check the "facts" presented by major politicians during their interviews. It turned out most of the "facts" they quoted and the number they quoted were wrong.

There is only one of those politicians who were studied that mostly told the truth, and it was neither Sarkozy nor the socialist candidate, but the "extreme right candidate".

The facts that Buzz cited in his reply to Pud are irrefutable. Israel has virtually no violence from the West Bank nor Lebanon. The US has disengaged from some hot spots. International terrorism has declined, and democratic movements have flourished in the Arab world without the US military marching in.
All proposed defense cuts are the byproduct of Congress, not the White House, whose Defense secretary has warned against them. Romney is a flat-out lying loon. And, Pud is a fool to find truth in those lies.
