This was when Larry hosted the site, 5 years ago. Have we really been around that long?
Since then, I've assumed the cost of the site. And couldn't give a rats ass about donations. But I can say costs of hosting has changed in that time, and then I could easily see that it was a good idea. Donations are always welcome... 5 years ago, I could see it being necessary (or at least, heartily welcomed).
I mean, if you guys want to throw the cost of a beer my way now and again, I wouldn't complain.
But the bottom line is... when I can't afford it, the site goes away. The bandwidth this site puts out is nominal. Go forth and have fun.

I remember talking to nyngje at a later date (the guy who produced the money donated rankings) I was the only person who achieved the top ranking. Stella has a lot to answer for. (insert beer smillie here)
