A few thoughts on the NFL draft round 1.

Post by Reservoir_Dog »

- The Washington Redskins front office is populated with blithering idiots.

- The Cleveland Browns had the #1 and #4 picks ... and being the Cleveland Browns ... they completely fucked it up.

- The Baltimore Ravens scored the steal of the draft grabbing Lamar Jackson at pick #32. Fucking brilliant!

- The Seattle Seahawks drafted RB Rashaad Penny with Nick Chubb and Derrius Guice still on the board. Apparently the Seahawks front office has taken up smoking crack.

- The New England Patriots drafted RB Sony Michel with Nick Chubb and Derrius Guice still on the board. Apparently the Pats front office has taken up smoking crack.

- The New Orleans Saints made the worst draft day trade I have EVER seen.

- The Atlanta Falcons drafted the best WR in the draft. Which is rather strange, considering they don't need him.

- The Jacksonville Jaguars front office has absolutely no idea what they are doing.

- The Indianapolis Colts took an OG with pick #6 when they have picks #4, #5 and #17 in the second round. Brutally stupid.

had you indicated someplace that this were news of any sort, I'd have walked up there to smack you in the head. No shit.

The rest of the list shows a serious man-love for Chubb and Gulce, time will tell. Pats seem to have taken two guys that will help make Old Man Brady a bit better protected, both in terms of running game distraction and serious blocking.

The Pats should have grabbed Mason Rudolph at #31.

In Hoodie We Trust......especially at this time of the year. Not about to second-guess that man. Always fun to look back in a couple years and see how the guesswork played out. The order night one indicates that SOMEONE thinks this a a world class, all time best, crop of college QBs. I didn't exactly notice that one the field, and I watch a bit of college football.

OMG, the Skins had the same hardon for Guice you did, and you summarized the state of the Skins front office.
Enjoy, and hope he gets through the season, or at least training camp for you all.

Folks seem to like that CB the Pats got at the end of the round. In Hoodie We Trust

I like the Guice pick. He was the #2 ranked RB in the draft and a projected 1st rounder. But his stock fell when a rumor started circulating that he got into an altercation while visiting the Eagles.
So the Skins got the #2 ranked RB late in the 2nd round. I call that a score!

Barkley from Penn State was little short of amazing. One of those guys who gets big yards even when everyone in the stadium knows he's going to be running.....

So far the Green Bay Packers are winning the draft.

The Seahawks are running around looking clueless.

The Redskins FINALLY did something that borders on intelligent.

God only knows what the Raiders are trying to do.

The Browns gotta brown. There's just no rhyme or reason.

Cleveland Browns: How can you have THAT MANY picks and fuck it up THAT BAD !?!?!?

Seattle Seahawks: Pure incompetence. One of the worst drafts I have EVER seen.

New England Patriots: If you haven't drafted a QB by round 7 ... why even bother?

Tennessee Titans: Could someone please explain to me why the Titans would draft a top tier QB when Marcus Mariota is only in his 3rd year ?????

Chicago Bears: Why waste draft picks on WR's when your QB completely sucks ???

Dallas Cowboys: In a draft stacked with WR's you TRADE for Tavon Austin ????

New Orleans Saints: Ever heard of filling a need? No? Didn't think so.
