4.09m kills my installation....4.09 glitch thread?

Just as 4.09b did, when I install 4.09m, the sim will not start. I tried it on my old install, and on a fresh one. Maybe it is a glitch with 32-bit AMD processors?

Use old
mg_snd.dll
mg_snd_sse.dll
That is known problem on some PC's, find them on the net or in old patch, mine are from 2006.

Thanks cat. Yes, on the ubi forum, I read that nforce2 motherboards need the old sound thingies, and that fixed it for me......

I don't think that Oleg will do anything for Il2,even in this patch they only compiled the patch and added few minor FM changes for couple of planes. This problem with snd.dll is old one and if they really wanted to solve it they could do it before 4.09 beta.
For future releases it seems that best tactic for us in DT would be to provide two sets of dll in patch and let users to pick those that work best for them.
