I see this game is still not worth my money.

If only flaming cliffs didn't get so boring after a few days of playing...

Back to BFBC2.

Ah well since the BF3 beta is over and I'm bored with my old games, CloD just sits there looking nice but I can't be arsed launching it :)

ROF unlimited demo is Dling right now, I'll give it a go with the 2 free planes, and see how it goes.

Any quick tips Dkoor ?

My tip Number 1. MS Sidewinder precision 2 ( non FFB ) works properly in a USB 2 port, USB seems to work but right roll won't in game :) ( under win7 pro 64bit ) 8-)

On that right roll thingy?
Could it be a dirty or bad pot?
That stick probably has some age..wear and dust.
I just bought an "as new" MSFFB2 a few days ago...
It works like a brand spanking new one...

I would throw some compressed air at it...
Work the hell out of the offending pot... ;)
And see if that didn't heal it....

Then again, on the other hand?
Have ya tried aileron trim?

You have a great operating system, it may provide legacy support for the drivers, I use the same.

Hope it's a simple problem....I have totally given up my Logi G940, it's a spiking POS.

Well here we are 9 months later....sigh.
Clod has turned into a skid mark on a pair of shorts.

No definitive change in the sim or the excuses made.
$1500.00 later, since I bought Clod....not one damn bit of difference.
Maskirovka at it's finest.

Can anybody here?
Report different?

Update on the CloD thingy.....Supposedly, one final patch and project abandoned.
The good news? You can buy the squeel/sequel, overlay it on CloD and get hosed
twice. The latest news? At 1C? The "Questions for Luthier" thread. All questions and per usual......no answers.

Feck CLOD, Rise of Flight is the main aero shit now.Image

And has been for a while.

Seriously, RoF *is* the next big thing after IL-2, I would dare to say nothing less impressive than IL-2 was when it came out.

From the day one, I was under impression that CLOD is going to be best sim outhere, but after I launched both sims on my rig I clearly saw that CLOD although it has potential a lot of potential, is ultimately being PoS. Because it is Work in Progress project.

Well it's official...Luthier stuck a fork in every bodies eye and then,
he stuck it in CloD. What ya got, is what you're gonna get and that's all.
He hinted at a minor fix or two for graphics/game engine....nothing to happen
on content, radio commands or AI. CLoD is one spasm from death. Funeral
arrangements being made.

To Luthiers credit? He finally, manned up. That does not, however, make up for the last 19 months of "BS" and deliberate misleading.

1C should'a canned his butt for the post he made on Friday. Just saying.

Well, finally I got it installed & running.

It does require modern hardware to be playable, but it's only money, eh? (Intel i5 + nVidia 660 are enough for this) Looks pretty, offers a lot more fidelity than IL2. Feels quite much like IL2 though, I have to get more into this one before saying nay or yea!

I hope you find a smooth and predictable way to run it....I really do.
I couldn't. Though, in less than 24 hrs, my new AMD 8350 and H100i are arriving.
So, thanx for posting...I still have CloD on my SSD and will give it another whirl after I jerk out the old AMD 955 from my newer Gigabyte 990FXA...who knows? Maybe, this will finally spin it up?

Anyway, thanx for posting...I'd forgot about CloD, now I'll try it again...for the last time.
