Getting back into photography.

Post by Soapy »

After a long time without a real camera I decided to venture into DSLR photography ( the last time I did a real shot with a real camera prior to this was 20 years ago on B/W full manual and did the developing/printing etc myself )

Feel free to have a look.

I got a starter DSLR Canon 1000D with the kit 18-55mm IS lens ( Rebel in the US ) and I'm just starting to get the hang of it again, albeit with digital images rather than negs and using a PC instead of a projector and paper.

Some shots taken since Jan 2011, not great by any means, but some of them are ok.

I'm still re learning some of the basics, whilst brushing up on the new digital stuff and will be doing a few night courses soon to get me into project work etc. However it gets me out and about on my days off work. Already I feel the need for a macro and a zoom lens so I can take the shots I want, but it's a start.
