Im interested in the reasoning behind these and the peeps that do it, just easier to feed? or to use sabot rounds to leave less evidence

Cheaper to feed it. Sabot rounds always shoot low.

I gave my wife...my Ruger 22/45 with fiber optic sites...I'm upgrading selfishly. lol
She's really not on the losing end of the deal...that Ruger she has now is really sweet...it's a 3.5 inch bull barrel with a complete trigger action job, to include over travel adjustment and a 'reliability' job and it functions 100 percent with high velocity ammo.
I'm still 'breaking in' the TacSol top end. I may hurry it a bit and break out the dremel tool.
