I have no idea what side of the fence you're on when it comes to wind farms.
I'm just saying that all those people who are up in arms over some birds being killed by wind turbines need to look at the big picture instead of being tunnel visioned.
I work for a public utility. I also have experience with bonneville power in Washington state.
Wind Turbines are a waste of money. We are mandated to pursue them by federal government in order to continue to get funding in the private sector (bonneville, PG&E, etc.). They produce infinitely small amounts of power. They are useless. Pointless. A Waste of money.
Power comes from Generation. It comes to your home via Transmission through Distribution on the grid.
Coal and Hydroelectric (and actually nuclear) are where greater than the lion's share of power comes from.
Wind turbines are a baby fart in a tornado of other options. It's stupid.
