Haha love that aircraft too... will make some nice PTO scenarios... TBH with you guys, I never heard about this aircraft before IL-2 and announcement of the latter. But from what I understand this aircraft is very agile.

Not many were build so it is relatively unknown. It is interesting because it is an American plane but built completely different than other American planes.

Light, unprotected, excellent climber. When it gets cockpit it will be interesting to see it against Ki41 and Zero.

I'm sure you will enjoy other planes too, plenty of crap planes in 4.09 and all are excellent models. Among the best in Il2. You will be surprised by Fokker, don't expect agility from that one, every kill you get with it will be well earned.

:( If I have to choose, I'd choose Fokker over all of them... I guess it doesn't matter as long as Fokker has decent climb rate and speed which I think will be enough to catch Soviet bombers and avoid escorting fighters. :)
I will check some internet sources to see what can I expect there.

BTW thanks for the info!

Fokker might be slower than soviet bombers... IIRC. I just can't remember whose account it was, but he was sent to intercept a lonely soviet bomber, but because he was slower, his only chance was the initial merge. Which he missed. So then he made a guess of the bomber's return route, climbed a little and waited. He had guessed right and was able to dive to the bomber and shoot it down. But I might be mixing up the planes...

You could be right Juha, we have two Finns in team and they said that Fokker was mainly used for recon missions, it was not of much use for anything else.

I spent most of my time with Sarja 3 model and I hate it, I think that I made more than a hundred of test flights with it. But in the end we got the performance where we wanted it.

I have a question... does this Fokker list include a variant which was armed with 20mm cannons?

From what I've read Danish were using that variant, Finnish got one cannon equipped Fokker, but results with it weren't satisfying. :|

I found what seems to be a very interesting thread about Fokker D.XXI.
