interesting aside on Lindsay Graham, which might explain my wonderment. Apparently, the normally level-headed Senator Graham is facing an extreme right wing challenge in the upcoming primaries in South Carolina(he's up for re-election in 2014), and is now posturing for the home folks. Sad to see that, as it's yet another example of the GOP self-destructing by radicalizing incumbants and putting pressure on the actual doers in Congress, capable of bipartisanship and cooperation in order to address the nation's problems. Longtime moderate GOP folks are alarmed at the trend, and have expressed real concerns over Senator Graham's recent antics as well.
