slick's prediction:
more people will read your posts than watch NHL Hockey in the US market.
Ferchristsakes, they get outdrawn by Women's Basketball, and sometimes
Bowling in the TV ratings. Sad, actually, but well-earned by bad management
and greed.
Now, as for a real sports championship......

Well, I'm glad the masses rather not watch the NHL. It's a sign of quality if you ask me
I for one would like the Capitals to win it this year. That or see Hossa get the stanley cup.
I also wish Kovalchuk went to a good team for a change.

Fatman, I can't answer your last question, but I wouldn't ever bet against Lesbians in that league anywhere.
OTOH, they do financially support the league. On the matter of Ice Hockey, I love the sport, went to
a University where that was the premier Intercollegiate sport(U of New Hampshire). Hell, they sell
Superboxes to see them play. I loved the NHL right up to the last strike. At that point, I couldn't understand
how the players could demand a pay structure like that in the face of declining attendance, lower ad
revenues, bad TV viewership. Moreover, for all sides to allow the dispute to trash a season like that,
with all the years of tradition, screw 'em. I could care less at this point, but I DO watch a ton of college
hockey, and we have a minor league team in town that is entertaining(if not great hockey).

Hossa will not win a cup if there is such thing as Karma. He jumps ship from the Pens to Detroit to win a cup.. karma kicks him in the nuts and now he jumps ship to what seems like another contender.. karma hopefully bites them off this time. Non loyal bastids don't deserve a trophy.nicolas10 wrote:Well, I'm glad the masses rather not watch the NHL. It's a sign of quality if you ask me
