How many red flags does Lufthansa need to reject a pilot candidate?

"Lubitz had been designated as "not suitable for flying" by his instructors at Lufthansa's training school in Arizona "
Quote FOX NEWS.

They failed to reject an utter whack job. Sumptin Wong here.

"Lubitz spent 18 months receiving psychiatric treatment"
Quote FOX NEWS.

They failed to reject an utter whack job. Sumptin Wong here.

Wow, Lufthansa has a MAJOR image problem as of this crash.
OBVIOUSLY they were and are not watching the mental health
of their employees.

Also of note, why is no one else doing what US airlines do and
have a flight attendant enter the cockpit when a pilot has to exit.

Seems like a good idea. It may have prevented this, and the Silk air suicide
and for all we know MH370. The Egypt Air suicide crash shows that
even a second pilot in the cockpit can't guarantee safety.

Commieshit, ignore is a wonderful thing

image problem? They are on the hook, completely, for paying off wrongful death suits for 150 people, and THEN convincing
people that their pilots are screened properly. An 'image problem' is putting it mildly.

Well,

"GermanWings" were about to be re-branded to "Eurowings" - I guess this will be now on the fast track.

They didn't know he was a "whack job" until AFTER he crashed the airplane.

Euro wings?
Almost dark humor in that one.

"Prozac Airways" makes more sense...

I can imagine their logo....."Come Die With Us!"

the European Aviation Safety Agency issued a temporary recommendation that cockpits always be staffed by at least two crew members
Damn water went over the damn dam so damn fast it damn near broke the damn dam.

Water over the Dam...... Not a bad idea though
