not a cent. I do receive a subsidy for not developing land bordering Chesapeake Bay, since it protects environmentally sensitive areas. I do get higher rent for farmland because the tenants grow soybeans, which are subsidized. Those are the laws, and there are WAY more generous ones than that, dealing with timber lands and the like. The woman who heads the Tea Party caucus in the House has an annual income of over a million bucks annually, and gets nearly $100,000 in 'agricultural subsidies'. I don't see anywhere near that much from bay protection, higher rent AND timber subsidies, combined.ruggbutt wrote: How much free money are you taking because the government pays you not to grow crops?
too easy.......next?If it was me, I'd feel like a tool
see, Ruggie....you're not a tool, you're an idiot. If you had work, you wouldn't be getting unemployment, or need it. Some folks do, however, and it doesn't make them bad. Have I known folks to milk it? Sure, but that doesn't mean I'm in favor of eliminating it. Higher standards? Hell, I'd be shocked to find you to have any standards, based on your writing and whining here.I've never even taken unemployment cuz I believe that there's nothing wrong with a hard days work. Then again I have higher standards set for myself.
After reading all of this, I had to remind myself....that Rugg owns his own business and also employs other folks....then, I got to remembering that Slick works in a laboratory counting roach turds in cereal boxes.....and it all made sense......callmeslick wrote:not a cent. that they both work and have something to do with thier time other than let thier brain turn to mush, hence they can actually make pertinent posts, and not seem to refer to penis, 69, and buttseks references every other post?Pudfark wrote:After reading all of this, I had to remind myself....that Rugg owns his own business and also employs other folks....then, I got to remembering that Slick works in a laboratory counting roach turds in cereal boxes.....and it all made sense......
It seems like I have unintentionally inflamed your sensitivities...perhaps, removing your earrings, before venturing out to post....would be less abrasive....Daiichidoku wrote:that they both work and have something to do with thier time other than let thier brain turn to mush, hence they can actually make pertinent posts, and not seem to refer to penis, 69, and buttseks references every other post?Pudfark wrote:After reading all of this, I had to remind myself....that Rugg owns his own business and also employs other folks....then, I got to remembering that Slick works in a laboratory counting roach turds in cereal boxes.....and it all made sense......
then yes, it does make sense +1
That is true...however, when you factor in the politicians who cater to those ethics...it is double damned true. Obama and his group are a prime example. They and their ilk of both parties must go. They must go now. You and yours have been feeding this for decades....and are continuing to do it. It is good that you recognize this, does that mean you are part of the solution, or are you going to continue to be part of the problem.....I recognize your brief moment of clarity and applaud you for it.callmeslick wrote: The problem is the people.....they are intellectually lazy, selfish and unwilling to sacrifice for the good of the future generations, or even for their own retirements.
