Those people knew what the dangers were....the days of safely traipsing across the border for a good time, are over. What others don't seem to comprehend here, is as simple as this analogy, this is like having your next door neighbor, owning a full grown lion, he tells you it is none of your business, it's his property, tough shit....he is legal, because their is a four foot tall chain link fence separating your properties....your common sense tells you, that ain't gonna keep the lion out of yer back yard...so you try to get a permit for a ten foot wrought iron fence to build around yer home...the fence permit is denied, "no fences above four feet allowed, you say "damn" and try to explain the situation, they say "tough shit"....So, you try to sell your home and move away....nobody will buy it cuz theirs a fucking lion next door.... Then some "Progressive Piece of Shit", has the nerve to tell you, " If yer worried about the lion, be sure you feed it alot and it won't attack you or your kids".....So, you tell that "Progressive", it ain't my fucking lion !!!! The "Progressive" then smugly tells you and winks at the same time, "Yeah, but it's yer fucking problem"......
