actually, I'm just bored. There are places where one can find actual thinking conservatives, able to spout something other than the pre-digested pablum read here from the usual suspects. Some folks here can manage that, and when they do, I'm all in for it. I've come to the realization, however, that no rebuttal is needed for anyone with a brain to the output from Pud, Happy, et al. An reader that looks at all into the matter sees the stupidity, I need not point it out.
As for the original topic of the thread, sure, I do see the Dems losing some ground next week. Probably, they lose control of the House. The loss of Pelosi, as I've said over the many months, wouldn't break my heart.
She was effective at getting legislation through, but lost sight of the purpose in many cases, and could easily be replaced by someone better. Now, do I think Boehner will accomplish anything? No. But, the facts will still remain: The Congress will be able to agree on little if anything. Obama has a higher personal approval at this point of his Presidency than either Clinton or Reagan did, and this election will provide him the perfect foil to remake the Dems campaign focus and win re-election in 2012. The Tea Party will cause the GOP to fall short in the Senate, and how that plays out within the party will be interesting.
