There is a massive group of the electorate that agrees with Rugg's viewpoint. I can't really disagree. What you're looking at is two years of gridlock, up to the next election. The only problem with that is that I'm concerned that this isn't a moment, in history or world economics, for us to be dithering any longer. As I see it, we've had dithering for close to 30 years, and that's what got us into the current status quo.

I think what was missed was that it was the economy that swept Obama into office, and that should have been the focus. Getting off onto healthcare(while I understand the tie-in with the economy long-term) was a big mistake.
