Come on Pud, I'm not talking about the ability of the military; I'm referring to the people.
Fair enough, Darkhorse. I admit, that I took a jab at you... I had hoped that your reference was "to the people". I know now, that it was.

In reference "to the people" in this country, I don't believe that any of them support the slavery that occurred here in the past. I know that I don't. What I strongly question is why they would support slavery now and in the future, in this country or any other country? In particular, the way this "slavery" hides behind and in the Muslim/Islam religion. The women born and brought into the Muslim/Islamic religion are held captive and abused by the men. The men control every aspect of a women's life. A woman is not allowed or permitted to leave. When you refer "to the people" in this country and infer that a silent majority of them have tacitly sat on their thumbs and with their silence have given approval of this Muslim/Islamic enslavement of women? You're right and it really pisses me off. One hundred and fifty years ago, we fought about slavery in this country amongst ourselves. How many hundreds of thousands died over this issue? What did we learn from it? Why would we tolerate it again? Here, imported or abroad. Your neighbor's dog has more "Human Rights" in this country, than Muslim Women in many countries. All of this you know. What I don't know about you? What is your moral position on this? Where do you stand? What are you willing to do about it?

I'm down for a free meal, if your downtown let me know. There is a Mexican place right around the corner. Maybe we can sneak in a drink or two. :P
If invited, the first round of "gold margaritas" on me....and a free introductory lesson on habeneros for Slick.... 8-)

Islam is a cancer and it will never be removed from this Earth by us. My moral position I am sure will fall short of your expectations, but C'est la vie. I have done quite a bit already for King and Country (and still do in a support roll). What I am willing to do about it (and doing) is a whole other subject and one not received will here on this board.
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.
Government-coerced expression is a feature of dictatorships that has no place in a free country

C'est la vie, a term, I'm sure, commonly used when surrendering.... A term, I won't ever use. Your choice of words, "Islam is a cancer", interests me. Perhaps, the cure is the same? Radiation.
I understand fear and respect your right to abstain from a position on this matter.

Because I am not with you inside that tiny little box you have locked yourself into you throw words like surrendering and fear at me? Your choice of words, "Radiation", tells me that being inside that box too long has deprived your brain of oxygen.

Darkhorse, if you won't stand up for yourself in print, on the interweb? And you express a concern about retribution from others (in print, on the interweb)? That is fear. You have it. You said it. I take no offense to it. Your choice of words above, are of concern...and a tell on you. To put you at ease, I will not place you in any further conflict. My sincere apologies.
