Here PIGGY PIGGY!!

Harry Reid and Dems give the finger to WE THE PEOPLE …
The Democrats suddenly claim they are fiscally responsible in playing class warfare when it comes to tax cuts for the rich, but they have no problem spending another $1.1 trillion in a near 2000 page Omnibus bill. GOOD GRIEF. This is what Harry Reid and the Democrats think of the 2010 midterm elections and the fact that the people said enough spending! Instead, Reid and the Dems just add more and more pork spending and keep adding more and more deficits to the already existing record one. Just 42 days ago Americans went to the polls and gave Democrats a shellacking as a political tsunami swept many spendthrift Democrats out of office. And now this.
America, this is what Harry Reid thinks of the 2010 elections. BTW, thanks so much Nevada

Can you imagine America, after the 2010 midterm elections … the Democrat majority think so little of you that they directly against your will. American told Washington to stop spending so what do Democrats continue to do … SPEND!

Senate Democrats have filed a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill that would fund the government through fiscal year 2011, according to Senate GOP sources.

The 1,924-page bill includes funding to implement the sweeping healthcare reform bill Congress passed earlier this year as well as additional funds for Internal Revenue Service agents, according to a senior GOP aide familiar with the legislation.

The package drew a swift rebuke from Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee.

“The attempt by Democrat leadership to rush through a nearly 2,000-page spending bill in the final days of the lame-duck session ignores the clear will expressed by the voters this past election,”Thune said in a statement. “This bill is loaded up with pork projects and should not get a vote. Congress should listen to the American people and stop this reckless spending.”

$247,000 – Virus free grapes in Washington State
$413,000 – Peanut research in Alabama
$125,000 – Fishery equipment for the Guam Fisherman’s Cooperative Association
$349,000 – Swine waste management in North Carolina
$277,000 – Potato pest management in wisconsin
$246,000 – Bovine tuberculosis treatment in Michigan and Minnesota
$522,000 – Cranberry and blueberry disease and breeding in New Jersey
$500,000 – Oyster safety in Florida
$400,000 – Solar parking canopies and plug-in electric stations in Kansas
$165,000 – Maple syrup research in Vermont

Get on your phones and call your Senators and SAY NO, HELL NO!!!

6,488 earmarks!!!*

* And counting - nobody has a final total but NONE of these went through the committee markup process.

Besides a filibuster several GOP senators are demanding that the entire bill be read on the floor, which will make it impossible to do anything else this year.
The slickmannities of it all.

These losers think their last opportunity for a big progressive circle-jerk is actually going to produce something viable.

I had the same reaction, for a moment.....then I started thinking, adding 6000+ earmarks? It seems to me that the Dems want exactly the reaction they are going to get from the Republicans....The next question is why? Currently the only thing that crosses my mind.....they want to blame the Repub's for not passing it and "punishing" all the taxpayers......My opinion of this? It will fail big time....

Now, I'm just waiting for our resident irrelevant poster, to throw some dated info in here to prove how the Dem's won congress in November.....and how they are really gonna kick ass in 2012....

Old Pudfark sez: " The Dem's have lost their mind and the American Public...just read Slick's posts, he proves it.... "

you all DO realize that this is a bipartisan effort? McConnell alone has 200 million in requests. Also, when one gets to thinking about it, it is so easy to have a fit over 8 billion in earmarks, but they make up less than .3% of the total budget. Small potatoes, really.

My favorite villian is Sen Thume, who put in 60 million in earmarks, but says he will vote against it....wtf?
