Re: Wullie?
Wullie, your report was straight off of Fox News. They've since backed away from it. Another more thorough
rendition:
"It was so surreal. You don't believe what's really happening in front of you. People are really dying," said Joe Zamudio, one of the people who helped restrain the suspect. "As the police took him away, I looked up and it was just -- it hit me like a ton of bricks. All these people that were wounded, and all these people's lives were changed in an instant."
Zamudio had been inside a nearby Walgreens when he heard the shots ring out.
"I ran outside towards the shots and when I rounded the corner, the first thing I saw was the people wrestling with the gunman. Behind that it was just kind of like people laying everywhere and kind of falling and crawling. Kind of realizing you had been shot is a weird thing to go through, I think. The people didn't really know. They were saying, 'What happened? What was that?' And then it started, a lot of 'I'm bleeding.' Like, this is real -- this is real. And then it was just, you know, 'Where's the ambulances?' It was just like nobody really knew what was going on. Nobody could really come to terms with it for minutes it seemed like. Nobody really kind of realized the massiveness of what happened."
"What really scared me," Zamudio said, was seeing a middle-aged, "maybe elderly woman," wrestling the next magazine away from the gunman. "I realized he was trying to reload his gun ... I just kind of fell on him too, like kind of put my weight over him, and made sure the gun was down and out of play."
if ANYONE was carrying, why would it have required 3 older persons to sit on the dude until cops came?

That is the guy that identified himself on camera in the interview as an armed CCH holder.Tucson resident Joe Zamudio, with his dog Buddy, was one of the two people that tackled the shooter that shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords Saturday.

Re: Wullie?
didn't say that in the article anyplace. I think you're confusing carrying a permit, with carrying the piece. Being a seemingly sane individual, he likely doesn't carry a piece to go buy a pack of smokes like some paranoid freak-job.

Re: Wullie?
Zamudio stated that he was a CCH holder and armed. The fact that he chose NOT drag out his gun and start blasting away is admirable. It also shows he probably has more brains than you do. Can you imagine what a cop would have done in a situation like that upon seeing someone holding a gun?
I'm not confusing anything. You are trying to re-write what you obviously neither heard nor saw. IF Zamudio was lying, I have no way to determine that. You automatically assume everybody is lying that doesn't share your bullshit, left leaning, limp wristed, Obama loving stance. Speaking of which, why is it that when an Islamic whack-job offs a dozen Americans at an Army base here in Texas and there isn't PEEP about gun control. Yet when a paranoid nutcase tries to kill a Democrat Congresswoman in Arizona not a moment is wasted in drafting anti-gun legislation?
Another thing before you even go down that road, at the time I saw the interview on TV, I was stone cold sober as we were on 2 hour standby to be called to work in the event of roadway icing. I got called at 10:45P Saturday night and told to report at 8:00A Sunday morning. I left work at midnight last night and got home at 12:30A this morning.
You are certainly stooping to new lows in 2011.

Way to pass judgement on someone/anyone who would use their god given (and Constitutional) right to protect themselves. You're a dick.callmeslick wrote:he likely doesn't carry a piece to go buy a pack of smokes like some paranoid freak-job.

Re: Wullie?
For the record.
It was originally reported that the suspect was wounded, which would infer, that he had been shot.
This was about the same time it was reported that the Congresswoman was dead.
Both reports were obviously inaccurate at the time they were made.
So, Slick, what's yer point?

Slick's and r-ass douchie's point is that only the police can take care of problems.
Dial 911 and watch a cop come.
They need to drop some eh-bombs on each other.
