Mind Yer Own Bidness

The below is a fabricated "Libtard" lie. No such requirement (Background Check) for "private sales" exists.

Undercover investigators buy guns without background checks

New York (CNN) -- "Undercover investigators purchased semiautomatic weapons at an Arizona gun show, despite telling vendors that they probably could not pass background checks, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg told reporters Monday.
"We have demonstrated how easy it is for anyone to buy a semiautomatic handgun and a high capacity magazine, no questions asked," Bloomberg said.
The investigation followed the recent shooting in Tucson, Arizona, that left six people dead and injured 13 others.
The mayor presented undercover video showing the sales, including illegal firearms sales at a gun show in Phoenix, Arizona."

So, if I read this right, it's okay to purchase semi-automatic hand guns in the states without a background check if it a "private sale"?
You can buy a hand gun from Bob who lives up the street, and Bob doesn't have to do a background check because it's a private sale?

I believe you're suppose to give the gun to an FFL dealer, and he'll check out the buyer and charge him a fee to do it.

A lot don't do it.

given the lack of documentation of those that do, it should make for an interesting list.

Then why is it when I sell a gun I have to send it to an FFL dealer, and he gives it to my customer?

A number of states have rules requiring all sales be through a FFL licenced dealer within the state.
Gun shows are not exempt.
Mass is one, they are very strict having the tightest gun laws in the US.
But it is worthless since criminals fail to heed gun laws and the result is that
Massachusettes has amongst the highest gun crime rates in the nation. (LMAO).
