It's that simple. For the life of me, I can't see why so many citizens of this ostensibly 'Christian' nation fail to embrace the concept
Probably has a HELL of a lot to do with the fact that they do NOT like the way that mess was shoved down our throats. Pretty damned obvious to me.

Here's a few things that would drive down the cost of Federal Health Care, to include Medicare and "Medicaide"...

Be sure you sign up for this you advocates.... 8-)

No Booze
No smokes
No motorcycles
No skiing
No skating
No rock climbing
No guns, knives or forks
No chainsaws
No axes
No Happy meals
No "Dangerous activities" whatsoever....case by case basis...

Be prepared to wear your styrofoam "brain bucket" at all times....
Be prepared to pay a hell of a lot more than you do now....
Be prepared to eat, what ever you're told to....
Be "patient"....wait you're turn.

These are just a few things that will occur in order to keep the costs down....

In case you haven't caught my drift, Wullie, I am not exactly thrilled with that lukewarm piece of crap law, but it's marginally better than the status quo. I've given my suggestion for what really should happen.

at what time has Medicare or Medicaid ever attempted one of those measures? The facts are pretty simple:
The overhead costs of Medicare are tiny compared to any major insurance firm. Why? Because the people running the show don't consist of a fleet of suits making $1 million bucks or more. Also, mass purchasing power gives clout in negotiations with providers, and further, you don't need to pump up profits to keep the investors happy. It really ought to be a no-brainer. Maybe too many folks already have their brains in your styrofoam bucket, Pud......I dunno. :?

I said "Here's a few things that would drive down the cost of Federal Health Care, to include Medicare and "Medicaide"...

You asked "at what time has Medicare or Medicaid ever attempted one of those measures?"

I'm just curious how you developed that question from what I said? Particularly, it's relevance?

I took it as tongue in cheek. Actually, there is no need to 'drive the cost down', just put the whole damn nation on the plan, eliminate private basic coverage, let the employers give the money back to the employees, and let the insurers suck wind.

I dont know what would be worse. an Insurer telling my Doctor they won't pay for something. or the Government telling my Doctor they won't pay for something.

Easier to deal with the Insurance Company...they are "for profit".....biggest problem with most folks? They never read the Policy/Contract that they have/had with their Insurance Company. Therefore, they (the insured) "think" they know what coverages they have, instead of "knowing" what they have. Insurance Companies pay to satisfy the terms and conditions of the policy/contract. They do not pay for what you "think" you have in coverage.

Have fun with that Federal Health Care....you won't have any control over it or coverages. You will be forced to accept whatever terms and conditions that they dictate. You'll probably be long dead before your suit ever reaches any Federal Court...

Don't worry...should your suit prevail...you will go down in history as a martyr for the cause.....
