Speaking of mud flaps.

When I first started to drive an end dump I was working for someone else. He insisted in having long mud flaps. The type you use on a road truck, but really a bad idea for an off road truck. We were always backing over uneven ground (dirt). As you back over a dirt mound the mud flap would tuck under the tire and get ripped off. It's something you can't see happening from the cab, so i'd never know it happened until I got out of the truck to open the tailgate. I'd have to get out the wrenches and put it back on. When I bought my own trucks I ran short mud flaps to keep that from happening.

Anyway, the other drivers saw me putting the mud flaps back on all the time, so they gave me a new handle on the CB.

For some reason I google-imaged mud flaps just in case, a little bet nervous I must say.

But thankfully it was what I thought.
