That is an indirect parallel and cannot be proven.
Economic realities, technology, knowledge and morality exist within the moment, and are driven by the very fact that that human nature is more of a constant than an inconstant.

Well let the feds take it over, it would make an awesome urban training environment. And whats with all the books left at the schools and libraries and there is a distinct lake of lighting fixtures i wonder if the copper pipe is still aboot

Really, human nature is no different now, than at other times in history.

Here's why I said it is arguable that human nature is unchanged through time: Definitions of what 'human nature' consist of vary widely. Sure, certain traits are pretty much constant, within some variation and clearcut gender differences. But, a lot of what gets called 'human nature' can be clearly shown to relate to the culture in which one is brought up.
