met Ted Nugent at a sports show(I was demoing fly-tying) about 4 years back. He's a gun-toting idiot, and didn't like the attitude I gave him when he came by my stand, expecting me to bask in his greatness. A complete asshole in person, he is, so I treated him accordingly. I got word that he'd muttered some menacing bullshit about that 'aging hippie' fly tyer, but not to my face or 6 foot 7 inch frame.......

the guy isn't so much a hunter as an advocate for high caliber auto weapons, at least from the little I saw of him at the show. When he and his handlers ambled by my setup(I was representing a friend's tackle
shop), the exchange was sort of brief:

Ted--Did you see my presentation?

Slick--Sorry, not my cup of tea.

Ted--Afraid of guns?

Slick--Afraid that automatic assault rifles have no place in a civilized society

Ted--But, we don't always live in a civilized society

Slick--Thanks a bunch for helping out with that(returns to tying #14 Hendricksons).
