Made in USA it was still a cheap POS, but it had
amazed me that it survived this long.
even an inanimate object was driven to end its own non-self-realised existence made unbearable from exposure of over 7000 mornings of absolute stupidity
 Lost a bit of coffee to the monitor screen on that one!

My folks still use the same "toaster" they bought in 1953....I believe it is a "Sunbeam"?...they have had
the cord replaced once....don't recall them ever mentioning any repair to the "internals".....

Good link there..Buzz 8-)

I had a late 50's Sunbeam, the thing looked like Harley Earl (GM) designed it.
No tail fins but it looked a bit like a 57 Chevy.
Round top streamlined design.
It was excellent but one of my ex wives kept trying to burn the house down with it.
Sadly it had to go. It was a tough toaster, very solidly built.

Ok, this is the straight poop.
I found an older Black&Decker that
is made in Mexico. New old stock since the others of the
same model on the same shelf were made in China.
I now own it.
I would rather give the Mexicans reason to stay home
than to give the Chinese a penny.
Still looking though.
I might purchase a Viking commercial toaster, made in Mississippi.
Big $$$ at $150 (list is over $300) for the base model 2 slice model, but it keeps AMERICANS working.

Dont fall for it happy, chances are it still might be made in China. Over here we fall for that crap all the time stuff gets sold as Australian made, but its all made over there and once it lands it might get a coat of varnish or a part added and voila sold as Aus made at Aus made prices

Now everyone makes cheap pos.
If you want quality you need to pay a lot of money.
Works for practically everything.

I have issues with some Chinese things, but I guess they are the most affordable nowadays... wont debate about quality tho.
I bet they too can produce really good things for a fair price, but I doubt that is their policy anyway.
Cheaper pos is what the today shit is, regardless of companies... those who build quality are out of business in no time.

BTW it may be Made in USA (everywhere but China/Taiwan/India/Singapore/Pakistan/Vietnam/add freely) but where do you think parts are coming from?
