The Reverend Terry Jones is a murderer

Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.

What's a shame is you don't understand it all, and that it all makes sense when you do.Reservoir_Dog wrote:It's a shame that the same can't be said about his Daddy.CUDA wrote:That Christ NEVER called for the death of anyone. EVER

What you type says different.
However, I refuse to get into another religious discussion, so i'll leave it at that.

I don't see this as a religious discussion.
Violence in religion is a common thread to most religions no?
The inquisitions and the crusades were in the name of God.
Worst yet, the same God just a slightly different flavor.
Seems people have found solace in their good books for the
decapitation and dismemberment of their enemies. Funny
that I find most go into battle feeling God is at their side.
If not for religion there would be few wars if none at all.

Yeah, like WWI, WWII, the American Civil war, Vietnam, The Boer war, the Korean war, the war of 1812, the American revolution.......you know, highly religious wars like that.HappyHappy wrote:If not for religion there would be few wars if none at all.

Possibly. but instead you'd just have Mass Murderers. let me name a few for you in just the 20th century alone.HappyHappy wrote:If not for religion there would be few wars if none at all.

Vladimir Lenin killed 4 million people
Joseph Stalin killed 42 million people
Mao Zedong killed as many as 4 to 6 million people
Pol Pot killed as many as 2 million people
funny these men were all Atheists. seems like its just not the religious that have a propensity for killing.
then there is also the question of Hitler. was he a Christian or an Atheist? there is debate either way
plus add Kim Jung Ill from N Korea and Tito from Yugoslavia to that list. both stellar religious people

Hitler was religious, the only argument might be if he followed
an organised faith.
Stalin was trained as a priest, I doubt he was truly Athiest.
Hard to believe Lenin or even Mao were truly Athiest, but Pol Pot
almost certanly was Atheist.
Custer was Christian, and a fool.
