now that the sun has re-emerged here in PA, I am about to head out and finish assembly of a new, 4 burner gas grille. Thus, any seismic activity or reports of blue flames in the evening sky will likely mean that I forgot to connect something before firing up the steaks.

(hell, I tried to stop with politics posts, but apparently CUDA and Pud feel differently)

I shall watch the horizon...to the North/East...this evening...
It beats staring at the sun...
Oh...and don't harshly judge the first food you cook on the new grill...
It takes a while to "break" the new grill in...
To Wit: The greasier, the grill, the better the flavor...
Ceramic "brickettes" help a great deal...as well...enjoy...
Old Pudfark sez: " If'n yer in a hurry to season a new grill? Possum will git'r done right quick... "

Re: and now, something non-political
oh and the test run went well. Pud's words about breakin are true, this is the third grill I've owned of the gas variety, along with a few charcoal grills and smokers. Hopefully, the initial run will be edible....I did the test run mainly to burn off the residues from the metal finish.
still unscathed......'Slick

You probably know this....
Sauces and marinades that contain vinegar are very corrosive to grill burners...not sayin,
you shouldn't use them (I do)...just sayin that a little dab of cleanup on the burners...will allow
them to live a dab longer....and don't ferget to oil her down when yer done....

Re: and now, something non-political
done both, Pud. And, just as well that I never really liked vinegar-based sauces or marinades. I try to always clean with a brush and detergent while still hot(which sucks because the fruit of your labors is either getting
cold or getting eaten whilst you are cleaning).
