Slick's past forecast..seems to be accurate..

Post by Pudfark »

I seem to recall..awhile back, quite awhile in fact...that our Pennsylvania contributor...stated something to the effect that the Far Left aka: Ultra Left were very dissatisfied with Obama... I somewhat disagreed with that, back then...My thoughts were, then, that the Ultra Left were the ones who put him in office, financially speaking....and I still believe that they were... However, this link below...could change some of that....It would seem at face value that HuffPost has turned on Obama in a negative way....I first began to notice this about six weeks ago...Here is the proof:

Six-Tenths Of Americans Disapprove Of Obama Performance On Economy: Survey

President Barack Obama's job approval ratings plunged to a new low ahead of his major economic speech Thursday, with widespread discontent among Americans over his handling of the economy and jobs, according to a spate of polls released Tuesday.

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll of 1,000 U.S. adults showed Obama's overall job approval rating at a low of 44 percent, down 3 percentage points since July, while his handling of the economy stands at 37 percent.

A Democratic pollster who helped conduct the survey said the poor results, which contain a 3.1 percentage-point margin of error, suggest Obama is no longer favored to win re-election in 2012.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll of U.S. adults showed that six in 10 Americans rate the president's job on the economy and jobs negatively, while one in three say they are now worse off financially since Obama entered the White House. It has a 3.5 percentage point margin of error.

A third poll of 1,000 likely voters by Washington-based Politico and George Washington University found that 72 percent of voters believe the country is either strongly or somewhat headed in the wrong direction, a jump of 12 percent since last May. That survey's results have a 3.1 percentage point error margin.

The polling, conducted last week, offers grim news for the president after a summer spent wrangling with Republicans in Congress over the debt ceiling and the budget in a rancorous debate that ended with Standard and Poor's unprecedented downgrade of the U.S. triple-A credit rating.

That's a pretty good bitch slap from Arianna Huffington and the Huffington Post.
Obama still has a pile of money accumulated for his re-election....and may feel? He doesn't need the Ultra Left. What Obama needs? Some kind of "event", natural or manufactured, to distract the voters, prior to the election in 2012.

Any hoo,...a tip of the cap to Slick, ya got that one right... :)

first off, the Obama money machine runs on two equal parts:

1. A ton of very small donations from a lot of diverse types of people. These folks act out of idealism.

2. A lot of old guard, old money types with big donations and deep pockets to keep making them.
These folks act out of fear of the looney right wing that the GOP has been coopted by. A prime
example would be my parents, who would NEVER give money to anyone the least bit radical, and
were pretty dependable donors to any moderate Republican.

from the numbers thus far, the money is coming in from both camps just fine. But, as I tried to tell you, the
left absolutely despises Obama.....strangely, they are pissed because he has done exactly what he promised to do: seek compromise and consensus(to an unwise degree thinks me), withdraw slowly from Iraq but ramp up Afghanistan with an eye to finishing off Al-Quaeda, and govern from common sense, not ideology.
