Nic, I regret that you decided not to post a reading list.
You are entitled to your opinion, but I would enjoy reading the "facts"
and ideas that lead you to this opinion.

So would I.
Re: Stupid "occupy" twits.
I'll try to make a reading list with authors that aren't too controversial.
Speaking of facts, aren't the quotes of several of your own presidents enough already?

What a load of BS cuda.
If you have that kind of money you just need to give a few tens of millions to the dems and a few tens of millions to the repubes, and who ever is president will suck your cock for the next presidential term.
& swallow.

It's probably best that you stay with French Politics

It will soon resemble yours.
Bi-partisan system is the best to divide the nation in two uniform blocks and alternate between one and the other leaving people to believe that they have a say in politics. At every change people are deluded into thinking that NOW is finally the time that the country is back on track, when the people higher just keep raping them.

well. he's right, and it doesn't take 'Billions'. After my fishing trip return, I heard from a deeply Republican, deep SouthernerCUDA wrote:It's probably best that you stay with French Politics
very wealthy friend. Even he has come around to the idea that the wealthy are getting a cheap ride that looks really bad
to those suffering economic hardship. Now, he's backing Gingrich, so far, but at least gets the principle that Nic sees better
than you, Cuda.
Re: Stupid "occupy" twits.
There is a very interesting book about the processes that led to 2nd world war in the french adminsitration, however you won't accept it as the guy was a member of the vichy government. He was of course condemned to jail for life after the liberation of France, but two jewish artists, Gertrude Stein and Alice B Tolkas have tried without success to plead for him saying he saved their life. What is extremely funny is that some "historians" recently disputed that he did anything to save those two jewish artists after both of them were dead.
Basically those historians know better who saved them during the second world war
Examples of things that don't add up are so numerous that I wonder how anyone can believe the official version of modern history. It's true that history is always written by the winner. It's more propaganda than history actually.
Anyway here's the guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_Fa%C3%BF
The book is "la guerre des trois fous, Hitler, Staline, Roosevelt. I wonder if there is an english translation.
I'll look for english language books when I can put a hand on them.
Nic
PS: I love the sentence "Despite his anti-Semitism, Faÿ, who was suspected of being a Gestapo agent for much of the occupation, had protected Stein and Alice B. Toklas during the time. Stein wrote a letter on Faÿ's behalf when he was tried as a collaborator following the Liberation."
oh and ", but the historian managed to escape to Switzerland five years later,[7] funding to facilitate his prison breakout coming from Alice B. Toklas."
The guy was apparently a rabid anti semitic, and yet a jewish friend that he has helped during the war funds his escape to swizerland. And yet some "historians" manage to study the matter in 2007 and say that he didn't really help them
This is just one tiny bit of example of:
1/ how the official version of history is just BS written for those who wrote it to their benefit
2/ how some in France managed to get rid of much of the traditional elites that didn't suit the anglo-saxon agenda with BS accusations of anti-semitism or collaboration.
