US bought the 72 british harrier + all spares for $180 million. That probably was less that the cost of the single UK JSF that's being delivered about now

And look at what we paid them for some Seasprites And 180 mill isnt to bad there is no way the Brits are keeping them in service so rather than store or dispose of they get some dosh that will keep some chair shinner in the MOD with an expence account

Our MOD chaps need that money so they can get comfy chairs and more light PCs. You can rest assured that not one penny will reach any soldier in the field. They have balloons to launch and that is enough
