That's how you handle bullies.
Been in the same boat myself mate and handled it in similar way. But what worked for you and me doesn't work for everyone. And in my case it took me a while to realise that all I had to do was call the guy's bluff ( as we know most bullies are cowards ). For other kids it might not be as easy to get to the point where you realise that fact. Some kids get into the mindset that being bullied is their fault. Almost as if it is their role in life. Systems that encourage bullies ( as schools sometimes do ) are the problem, either by not supporting the victims or by ignoring them.
