Howard Pardue was killed in the crash of his F8F Bearcat

77 years old, his plane rolled after takeoff.
Witness said the engine sounded perfect till impact.
I will speculate Howard died before he hit the ground.

Question...

is 77 years old to old to fly a high performance WWII fighter?

So about 10% of all me109s lost were one takeoff buy men far younger that 77 should we just ban all flying
