What happened to the price of tires? I had to put new tires on my Jeep this week. The same tires that I paid $840 OTD 3 years ago. Just cost me $1150.
I feel ripped off.

Re: Tires.......WTF?
Them new tires oughta last twice as long as the old ones.
Because?
The price of gas has doubled in the last four years...

Big monies speculate on raw materials as of late. Creating shortages & cashing in after the prices have gone up.
I guess rubber isn't spared.

Re: Tires.......WTF?
Who has tires that last 3 years
Re: Tires.......WTF?
That was 20,000 miles. I'm surprised I put that many miles on the Jeep. It was because I had to make a lot of trips to Denver and Colorado Springs for operations. The high speed on asphalt is hell on mud tires. I could see them wearing out on every trip.
I expect to get 5-6 years on this set, because i'll be staying in my area from now on. No doctor is ever going to cut on me again. Butchers.

Buzz, you're supposed to take the chains off after the snow/ice melts
Besides...you folks ain't had enough rain this year to justify mud tires.
Really, you should consider a front wheel drive Hybrid
with a sun roof and a solar panel. They are easier to push

My hunting area at 12,000 ft has got rain everyday. No shortage of mud. Snow could come in a couple of weeks too.
Besides, if I can't hear my tires drowning out the radio. I'm not happy.
