Well, Fats....It's one thing for me and the neighbors to jump on the bus and invade Canada/Mexico with our deer rifles. It's quite another when you have "religious fanatics" with no sense of remorse/consequences and an A-bomb or several in a region, historically known for volatile behavior. Lawmakers call for Libya, Egypt aid to be stripped over attacks on US posts


Several conservative lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pushing to strip or suspend aid to Libya and Egypt following the deadly attacks Tuesday on U.S. diplomatic offices.

Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Calif., said he was "a no before, but now I'm a hell no."

Rep. Jeff Landry, R-La., said it would show "leadership" if President Obama demanded money for both Libya and Egypt be stripped out.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Wednesday also called on the government to put conditions on the money to Libya.

Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., said Wednesday he would be calling for hearings on the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations committees to examine intelligence and security questions -- as well as the "appropriate response" to the attacks.

President Obama said earlier that the U.S. would be working with the Libyan government in tracking down the killers.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also said the U.S. should not blame "the people or government of Libya" for the actions of a "small and savage group."

Israel has limited options when dealing with a real Iranian nuclear threat. Their last-generation airpower is probably not capable of penetrating Iran's modern air defense network AND destroying enough of a well developed, well hidden nuclear program. B2s, F22s, and F35s could handle it, but apparently we aren't going to help out. Other options include a widespread clandestine op on the ground - too many facilities for that. Tactical nukes like the old Pershing IIa would be extremely effective, assuming first strike... not sure if Israel has anything remotely like that.

For fuck's sake Iran doesn't want to attack Israel with nuclear weapons. For staters they would kill all the palestinians that Israel hasn't killed yet, and Iran is sympathetic with the Palestinians. Why the fuck would they nuke them???
