"How many nukes...y'all got? How's about the French history of acquisition/colonies?"
I don't understand what you are saying.
Nic
I'm saying...."how does what you have said? Compare to my question above?"
I suppose I was to subtle. When you "compare" it to European history over the last couple of hundred years, folks could say something similar about you and yours.
I get it, that you ain't real fond of the Hebrew folks. I get it, you get your oil from the Arabs. What I don't get? Why you think "radicals" should have nuclear weapons?
Who has threatened France? Why do you need nuclear weapons? Who has threatened Israel? Why do they have them? Who has threatened Iran? Why?
Seems like yer willing to throw the Hebrews to the wolves...for a better deal on oil.
No disrespect, but, France owes back (to the world and Israel) a debt. This "debt" is not about money....it's about blood, freedom and security. Surely, you're not trying to "weasel out" of it for some oil?

Why do you need firearms? Sure you have a second ammendment to say you can but a bunch of nations telling Iran fuck you we got ours no soup for you doesnt make sense to me, and im all for them making nukes hell im all for any nation making nukes sure theres a few that might make me a bit weary but as long as they realise the consequences of first strike then rock onPudfark wrote:Why do you need nuclear weapons? Well, Fats....It's one thing for me and the neighbors to jump on the bus and invade Canada/Mexico with our deer rifles. It's quite another when you have "religious fanatics" with no sense of remorse/consequences and an A-bomb or several in a region, historically known for volatile behavior. Not to mention, developing a long range delivery system for it. It may "boil" down to a "controlled nuke'm now" vs an
"uncontrolled" nuke out later. It seems Obama has no interest in the former and the
Israeli's no interest in the later. That's about how it is.....

Where are the limp dick democrat's on "this"?
Lawmakers call for Libya, Egypt aid to be stripped over attacks on US posts
Several conservative lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pushing to strip or suspend aid to Libya and Egypt following the deadly attacks Tuesday on U.S. diplomatic offices.
Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Calif., said he was "a no before, but now I'm a hell no."
Rep. Jeff Landry, R-La., said it would show "leadership" if President Obama demanded money for both Libya and Egypt be stripped out.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Wednesday also called on the government to put conditions on the money to Libya.
Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., said Wednesday he would be calling for hearings on the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations committees to examine intelligence and security questions -- as well as the "appropriate response" to the attacks.
President Obama said earlier that the U.S. would be working with the Libyan government in tracking down the killers.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also said the U.S. should not blame "the people or government of Libya" for the actions of a "small and savage group."

Re: This
For fuck's sake Iran doesn't want to attack Israel with nuclear weapons. For staters they would kill all the palestinians that Israel hasn't killed yet, and Iran is sympathetic with the Palestinians. Why the fuck would they nuke them???Barfly wrote:Israel has limited options when dealing with a real Iranian nuclear threat. Their last-generation airpower is probably not capable of penetrating Iran's modern air defense network AND destroying enough of a well developed, well hidden nuclear program. B2s, F22s, and F35s could handle it, but apparently we aren't going to help out. Other options include a widespread clandestine op on the ground - too many facilities for that. Tactical nukes like the old Pershing IIa would be extremely effective, assuming first strike... not sure if Israel has anything remotely like that.
Secondly the nuclear cloud would come right back towards Iran, which wouldn't be very wise at all.
There is no chance Iran starts a nuclear exchange with Israel. Period.
lolReally, Israel has had the capability to wipe it's neighbors off the map for decades, but hasn't done so because they are not an aggressor nation.
The attack of the USS Liberty sure is an agression. Jim Morrisson's father sure did think that it was. I'm not even talking about the Palestinians because I don't care much about them at all. Shit in the Middle East doesn't concern me.
Most of the "kill the west hatin' terrorist groups have been financed from the Soviet-Aghan war, and are currently financed by Saudi Arabia, Quatar & the Emirates. NOT by Iran. Those wahabits "liberated" Libya to create a central bank linked to the IMF & instore the Sharia. They will do the same in Syria if they have their way. They are backed not by Iranian air forces, but they are backed french, british & US air forces...Iran has been conducting assymetric warfare against them for years, funds every viable radical islamist kill-the-west-hatin' terrorist group they can, and even declared war on the US in 1986.... for those that remember. They've done everything they can get away with... who's going to punish Iran for using nukes??? They could airburst a nuke over Israel for EMP, leaving it extremely vulnerable to conventional attack, overrun it and 'sack' it like Rome.
We are fucking destroying every secular state in the area to replace them with fundamentalist nutcracks... Iran has nothing to do with this.
BTW any comment about the 20 000+ jews living peacefully in Iran? What gives?
And they are removing secular countries to replace them with fundamentalist islamic countries run by nutcracks. They want to be attacked so they can claim some land and still be able to say they were attacked, to justify not giving the land back. We in the west are doing everything we can to help, even though it goes straight against our own interests. The bottom line is, and you imply this Nic, that Israel is surrounded and for the most part on it's own.

Your mistake is that you think you haven't been buried in propaganda just as anyone else. You need to analyse facts and not just go by what you think you know.Barfly wrote:IMO, the sheer volume of propaganda that espouses some kind of continuing Zionist expansion is staggering, and utterly false. It's perpetrated all over the middle east, through the UN, and it seems in European countries that have openly allowed unassimilated or unassimmable (sic? lol) migrants from the middle east. It's hard to do but don't mix up Israel and the Zionist elites who try to make the shit hit the fan from their NY homes. Nic
You never see quotes from expansionist minded Zionist types in the US because they don't exist. There are plenty here who support Israel and lobby for continued financial support; that is entirely different. Explain that to a middle eastern man who's been buried in state sponsored propaganda his entire life.... I've talked to some natives of middle eastern origins, and their perspective of the West is almost totally informed by what I'd describe as pure propaganda. Really, talking to someone who's never left Lebanon, or a former member of the PLO... it's eye-opening.

France owes Israel for what exactly? Nothing at all. Israel owes france for the deliveries of weapons during both 1973 & 1967 wars, and they actually owe France for their A-bomb.No disrespect, but, France owes back (to the world and Israel) a debt. BTW I don't know what the Iranian nuclear program does in this thread.
I was only talking about Libya, Syria & the arab spring. You guys are quick to try to change topic when you don't want to think about something uncomfortable.
And cut the bullshit about Iranian threats. For every Iranian threat you can find at least one Israeli threat towards Iran.

Re: This
No it isn't... I know we are all awash in exclusionary, forceful amounts of propaganda. It's not accurate to suggest I'm intellectually incurious about others persectives, if that's what you're getting at... or 'can't see the forest through the trees'... There is no genocide perpetrated by the Israeli's against people in the Palestinian territory. If that was the case, they would all be dead.Your mistake is that you think you haven't been buried in propaganda just as anyone else. No middle eastern country gives a shit about the quality of life of anyone in that area, only that it is a foot in the door against the 'zionist' 'expansion'. By expansion I mean they exist at all
