She was 18 and living at home and her mom was blown away that the dog came to me and we were friends from the beginning. Saw my buddies daughter for the first time several months ago. She was shy and he told me not to worry, that she didn't like anyone who wasn't immediate family. After a couple of hours around her at dinner we took a walk on the pier and she put her hand out for me to hold it. He and his wife were shocked. He said that had never happened before.
