So, lets see how it plays out. Ragging on each other won't accomplish anything.

I haven't taken any sides on the matter. I'm simply waiting to see what happens.

You're right about the ragging.
I disagree with the waiting. It's been more than two months waiting on the truth. The truth is known, it just hasn't been told. Them folks are just waiting for you to get tired and forget about it. Do you condone their "delays" in the telling of it? Does it help our country, not to tell the truth to it's citizens? Buzz, can you be trusted with the truth? Are you entitled to the truth, when it's free?

All I know?

I'm waiting, and you're not. I don't see you doing anything about it. How are we different?

I'm not waiting for you to give me the news. I read that already.

My point is, we're all on the same side on this, but we can't do much about the outcome. It's not like we can vote on it.

I's rather talk about fishing.

from Pud's link:
"Along with changing “al Qaeda” to “extremists,” the new talking points timeline stated the FBI apparently wanted a change in the language from the U.S. “knew” Islamic extremists were involved to “there are indications.”

WOW!! That changes the meaning altogether. Now, from what details have emerged, we seem to have had a robust CIA presence out of that embassy. Given that, wouldn't it make perfect sense that no one wanted to get out exactly what information was in hand, either to the press or to the Congress, with a massive history of partisan blabbing and public spin to the media. They clearly wanted to get other personnel out, which they did over the next few days, before another round of attacks on US personnel. Really, I see nothing here that strikes me as the least bit irresponsible, reckless or not in keeping with the President's core duties as commander in chief. Could there have been greater security there? Sure, but the budget had been slashed by Congress, so money was tight and they thought they had enough control. Was there any reason, political or otherwise, to mislead the public? None that I see, nothing would have affected election results, based on what we know from exit polling. In short, the GOP is using this whole issue as a political smokescreen to distract both the public and their own rank and file from the upcoming fiscal negotiations in which it is becoming very clear that they are going to have to make real, serious concessions on what have been core points. I suspect you will see the selective tax hike on the wealthy and perhaps even a rise in cap gains rates pass the House with something like 100 Republicans joining the Dems, and you will see sequestration priorities re-arranged in a similar bipartisan vote that restores most of the money saved by the tax hike to the Defense and Education budgets. Conservatives aren't going to like either plan, and to distract the easily distracted
amongst them, certain parties have been beating the Benghazi horse to death. Further, they don't wish to see this particular Dr. Rice as Secretary of State,
and even that plan might blow up in their faces.

Oh, and Buzz, I'm all for fishing talk. In fact, we should have a subforum for it! ;)

all fair and good. I have no problem with dumbing down the narrative. but why the lie that it was about a video?? why not just leave it as "Under investigation?" it had nothing to do with a Video. Never did

also, why is the left now calling McCain and Graham, racists and sexists because they appose her as SOS. it seems to me that they called people like Herman Cain and Condi an Uncle Tom. and Marco Rubi an Oreo. those are racist comments. this "code word racist" crap is just that crap. it's the I cant defend my stance stance so I'll demonize those that disagree with me. that's playground politics
