Re: A tale of two Americas, California and Texas
he basically tells a little lie from the get-go. California is 37th in high school graduation, Texas(as he correctly notes) is 44th. Thus Texas is not 'slightly ahead' of California. So, in terms of income, available help for those who are poor, high school success, average level of education and a few other indicators, California is superior to Texas. Yet, when you look at state debt to population ratio, the gap is not as wide as O Really wants you to believe.
This despite vastly better social safety net for California's citizenry. Eye opener, you betcha.

Who is gonna pay the bills in California?
That "social safety net" is a wonderful thing?
If ya have somebody to hold onto it?
Seems like most of them "rich dudes", to include "actors" are hauling ass out
of California....and moving to? Texas.

Texans moving to California is what drags it down.

It's a dead give away when all the words are spelled correctly.
