Thanks for your attention, you may resume whatever the fuck you were doing

in case you were wondering, we were making a very valid point until you contributed an idiotic comment.

Respectfully Slick I don't see the validity of your point, either. I'd like to explain, why I don't. You chose to title this thread "A Well-Regulated Militia". Then, you chose not to say a damn thing about it. The way I see it? If in fact, we had "a well regulated militia/populace"? We certainly wouldn't have the multitude of incidents and casualties. I say this and refer you for the third time to the "Israeli Militia/Populace" and their way of dealing with foreign and domestic terroristic acts.

@Nic
If'n you're wanting to be a "smart ass" ;) ? Might oughta rethink mentioning "surrender" to us uncouth Americans. :P

Pud, you don't have a responsible enough public to arm them even so much as they currently are. This isn't Israel, isn't going to become Israel, and frankly,
the idea of the 2nd Amendment is irrelevant in the 21st century.

Well Slick...then we oughta take away their drivers licenses as well. Ya think...? The idea of you becoming a pedestrian at your age? Sorta bothers me.

I have no idea why you say this isn't Israel? Of course it's not, there's a hell of a lot fewer murders in Israel. Israel totally screwed up...they should'a just legislated peace, like you advocate. It would'a saved a lot of trouble...ya think? (Sarcasm Face now off)

Have you ever been wrong? Just asking...you, not yer wife... ;)

It just occurred to me..yer probably eating supper...so, I'll throw ya some desert. ;)

The "public" is already armed. The 2nd Amendment is imho more relevant now, than it has ever been. Why? Well, back then, Indians didn't look like yer neighbor. Now, they are potentially your neighbor and they get around a lot faster.

So....if you truly have the courage of your convictions and do count yourself among
the not responsible enough public? To further your case/cause? I humbly suggest?
You go out and attach the following bumper sticker to your, your wife, your families and all the other courageous collaborators cars...."Ban All Guns". If you're really sincere about all this...ya gotta market it. If not? Well, by all means, continue this conversation here....where it's safer. This is the only place, where you, me and everybody is really safe... Personal Salute to Tolwyn & Larry...even though they both ran out of money in that "cat house" in Colombia.... :P

The bodies of the dead at Columbine weren't cold yet.

Just up the street from the slaughter the NRA repugnantly went forth with their convention where Charlton Heston famously took to the stage, held a rifle above his head, and yelled to the crowd.... "OUT OF MY COLD DEAD HANDS!"

And the crowd cheered.

Chuck didn't get it. He couldn't get it. He was simply incapable of understanding it.
So was the crowd.

The bodies in Connecticut aren't cold yet.

And Pud has taken to the stage of CWoS to carry forth the legacy of Charlton Heston.

Some people just don't know what's right anymore.

Well R_D...like ya said, that rifle was in the hands of a fellow with 80 or so, years of life experience. Not in some kids hands.

Guns are like "car keys"...it's not that difficult to keep them out of a kid's hand.
I could be wrong? You and yours ever have a problem with that?
Of course, the obvious solution in Colorado was?
Let them smoke dope.
Your solution?
Treat everybody like a dope.

Old Pudfark sez: " Smokin' Dope/The Rockey Mountain High...the new common sense solution...for the irresponsible public at large. "

...and likely, never will. Arming everyone in a scared, angry society is sheer lunacy.
