Tomorrows Executive Mandate on Gun Control

Post by Pudfark »

What say you?

I'm gonna start this off, slow, on purpose, with a question.

What two American Presidents have been responsible for
the largest, most massive, voluntary arming of our citizens in
American History?

no President has ever been responsible for citizens choosing to buy guns. Trick question.

No, it's not a trick question. You just don't like where, you think, I'm gonna go with it. ;)

Now, that...that's outta the way....

My answer to the posed question is this?

Lincoln & Obama

Again, Slick and this ain't no trick question either.
Where do ya think?
I'm going with the next question and or statement?

Just a little sideways deviation for a moment.....

I saw on the news...while I was eating brunch.
That tomorrow, when Obama makes the big GC announcement...he's gonna be hiding behind a bunch of kids...Here in Texas, we call that a hostage situation in some cases.

I'm sure the more "liberal crowd" calls it "Politically Correct", which as you know?
Folks take...as an excuse...to once again...justify the doing of a wrong thing. Which?
reminds me of the "political indoctrination" in schools thingy...that we disagreed about. Though, all of it, in one way or another? Is fundamentally, child abuse and or
a government abuse. My opinion is? It's both.

Whew...got that off my chest... :|

hope you feel better, although the entire exercise has the same stench as 'passing wind'. :)

Fortunately, you do have the choice of "up wind" or "down wind"... ;)

Where wuz I?
Oh...yeah, Lincoln & Obama

Since the opportunity to dispute what I said about'em has passed without comment?

Here's where I'm headed...brief reminder of history first.
Everybody knows what happened under Lincoln.
Some folks even know the why of it.
A few of them "some folks" even know this?
Lincoln wasn't solely responsible for the Civil war.
He had the support of the Congress and the Senate.
As in, they, the Congress and the Senate passed the laws,
that were so unpopular and led to the Civil war.

Now, this is where Lincoln and Obama differ?

Obama is (arguably illegally) taking sole responsibility this time.
The Congress and the Senate have not "passed" any new laws.
Obama is gonna make his own law. My curiosity about all of this?
Whose gonna and how they gonna?
Enforce it? Whose gonna decide the "penalties"?
Whose gonna and where they gonna?
Put all these "new lawbreakers"?
There ain't enough Federal Confinement Facilities and that's been true
for the last 35 years.

It could turn out like the "Obama Care Plan"?
Ya know? "All Plan, No Care".

Shoot, pun intended, there could be some civil insurrection...like the last time.

It could even be a "Bluff" by Obama?

Maybe, it's none of the above. (I threw this in for ya, Slick ;) )

If'n anybody has hung in here this far...I'll tie it up in a nice little knot and bow now.

In the last couple of weeks...every firearm, large capacity magazine and every round of ammunition to go with them has been legally sold, back ordered for a year and sold again and nobody is taking additional back orders. All of this leads to this question?

Since nobody can buy a gun, a high cap magazine or ammunition, as in there are none for sale. Why would anybody in their "right or left" mind think we need an illegal gun mandate/law/executive order Forced Now?

what's funny to me, Pud, albeit without passing urine on myself, is that after claiming a calm, rational discussion, you make a bunch of crazy suppositions about what Obama is going to propose. Then, you go on to state that Congress has passed nothing, without waiting to see if Congress actually does take action. Then you go on a rant about jailing these harmless, guntoting Americans, etc, etc. Thus far, all response is calm, or amused to some extent, but you yourself seem to have failed to heed your own call for restraint.

I'm still waiting until the Commission report and recommendations are made public. No, I haven't called Joe to ask for an early heads-up. ;)
