Think France is a democracy?

Post by nicolas10 »

Think again:

Translated:

Tunisia 2011: François Hollande : "Mr Ben Ali must listen to his people"
Egypt 2011 : François Hollande : "Mr Mubarak must listen to his people"
Libya 2011 : François Hollande : "Mr Khadaffi must listen to his people"
Paris 2013: Maybe mr Hollande should listen to his people???

I don't think about France at all.

Except that they hold a good bike race that nobody can win without cheating.

I think about France more than I do Canada.

The best part of the "Tour de France" was the drug testing.
The results of that "testing" were amazingly conclusive....7 times in a row.

For sure...I'll be on the edge of my chair?
When they have the "Tour de Canada"?
For sure, everybody there?
Will test positive fer dope.

I'm minded of the saying "Who called the piano player a motherfucker?" Which allegedly was replied to with "who called the motherfucker a pianist?"

France/Democracy. Same principle.

Never ever thought France was a Democracy, nor the UK or any other country for that matter. The illusion of Democracy is what we have, and even a Constitutional Republic is an an illusion too. As are all and any modern forms of Government. We think/feel we have the power to influence the powers that be, but we don't really. We do have the freedom to bitch and moan about it though, at least in the "West", which is a step up from lots of other places.

Once you get past that fact, life is a lot easier to deal with :)

True, although I'd debate the fact that you have the right to bitch & moan. Some guy in France was investigating pedocriminal networks has disappeard after being arrested by the police. They claimed he escaped arrest, but his wife and member of his anti-pedophiles association haven't heard about him ever since. It was a few months back already. Since them his wife & some friends have been arrested.

Basically you can bitch & moan unless you are starting to do some damage... Then you're taken care of.

Anyway the post was just yet another proof that the people who get elected by the shadow power are hypocrits of the highest magnitude.
