That supposedly "charging bear" does make a case for?
Having an M14, in bear country. 8-)

Before you folks get all riled up about that........
I'm not trying to insult or tarnish....the bears reputation or

There are some beautiful semi - auto versions of the M14... if you can find one now. Wouldn't go any lighter than .308 for bear. I always wanted and LRB arms version, but ended up getting my 7.62 fix with a SCAR 17S...
