Nice work Pud, hehe. Speaking of cockpits, I'm off to get my semi annual flight physical. Hopefully everything will come out ok. We'll see if my vision is up to spec.... hopefully not.

Wow, beautiful little plane. And my vision is 'up to spec.'; at the ripe old age of 45 I finally need 'readers', as one eye is 20/30 near.

In my youth...my vision, both eyes was 20/15. I hit my middle forties and "cheaters" became mandatory. I hate wearing glasses of any type to this day.

Glad ya didn't have any problems.
What do ya steer in the air?
I'm sure it has more than four seats...because of your type of medical. ;)

Ten years ago a logged 1 hour each in a 767 and 777 real meal deal simulator
at IAH. Which ain't sayin' a lot, though it was memorable and fun. Courtesy of
Continental Airlines. I was told then they cost about 30 million bucks a piece.
I learned a lot. Pilots are gonna be as rare as stagecoach drivers in about thirty years. :(

Yep, had razor sharp vision when younger; tested better than 20/15 on occasion.

I fly 737s around the Caribbean, Central and South America, and still waste lots of time with PC flight simulators on the side. Modern full motion simulators are good trainers, I probably have over 400 hours in those, ~8500 actual flight hours.

Wondering if Slick has figured out the "ruse", yet?

If not, the memo must'a got lost. ;)

no ruse, Congress agreed to it, they will either figure it out, or the executive branch can do what the Constitution entrusts them to do, and decide how to spend the reduced monies. If the economy takes a hit, guess what? Obama won't get the blame.

Obama will not likely intervene in the cutting process; he's getting too much political mileage out of this.

you are right, Barfly, although he can't intervene, as the President cannot set revenues, just execute policy with the revenues granted by Congress.
