Well then you try to balance that out with law enforcement. And enforce laws that are in place.fatman wrote:So how does gun control work? One must admit we have some pretty regulated laws here and yet gun crime still rocks on bikies druggies etc they just laugh at the situation knowing that joe blow cant do crap
Mongrel mob, gangsters etc are already illegal, just enforce it more.
It sometimes comes from the ground up too, you or I or the next guy stand up for our communities through legal channels. If that doesn't work, then canvass the people in charge of the people who police your community, if that doesn't work a "stiff word" or a "wee visit" might
Criminals will always have access to illegal firearms, but the laws that the US legislation is looking at is not an anti criminal bill, it is not an anti freedom of arms bill. It is a minimise the risk of legal firearms being used by people for illegal and deadly purposes.
It is a crock though, we all know it, but it's better than nothing.
The real issue though, is legal firearms owners/hunters/enthusiasts etc, are being duped by the ammo and gun sellers, same as mobile phone users, and anyone with spare spendable income. They want your money and will try to make you spend it on their produce. It is all marketing on a large scale. The people who sell you this shit don't give two fucks if it is ammo or beans that you buy, just as long as you buy them. They would sell your kids crack if it made them a profit with low tax overheads, they don't give a shit, it's all about selling product.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, we are all talking about anti/pro gun laws/freedom and so forth. But they are all counting the cash and having a good old laugh at it while they sit on piles of cash.
Every tragedy, is a an advert, every legislation is a peak sale.
What is more disturbing is that this is not a new thing, it has been the salesman's trick since the first human realised that to make shit look good, all you needed to do was to make it look either dangerous or scarce. But people still fall for it..
